Can my co-owners have separate logins?+
Absolutely. Invite them with a simple magic link and assign a role (Primary, Owner, or Caretaker). Each person sees only the organizations and properties you share with them, and roles limit what info can be seen.
I'm the only owner. Can I still use Cottagr?+
Just assign yourself 100% ownership and you have 100% control. You can still invite family members as 0% owners so they can have shared access to the platform.
How do bookings get approved?+
Owners and invited guests propose dates, add context, and vote. Fairness rules, blackout holds, and minimum nights (if any) are enforced automatically, and the dashboard surfaces any conflicts before they escalate.
Where do we store manuals and checklists?+
The Knowledge & Maintenance Hub keeps versioned checklists, cottage documents, and maintenance cadences in one place. Publish updates when they are ready so everyone sees the latest instructions. You can even upload how-to videos!
Wait, I can invite guests and earn revenue?+
Each property gets a private guest request page for trusted friends and family. You can create invite-only links, set custom pricing, and keep every request inside the same owner approval workflow.
Can I change the booking rate for each private guest page?+
Yes. Each private guest page can have its own rate, so you can offer different pricing for different guests or groups. Customize the page, share that guest's private booking link, and their requests still flow through your owner approval process.
What does the expense workflow look like?+
Upload a receipt, tag who paid, and Cottagr splits it by ownership share. Other owners approve or comment, and the ledger keeps a running balance ready for payouts or accountant exports.
Can caretakers or guests use the app?+
Yes. Assign the Caretaker role for limited operational access or share read-only booking links with guests. Sensitive ownership data stays scoped to the people who need it.
Why can't I log in with the email link?+
Use https://www.cottagr.com, then request a fresh magic link and open it on the same device/browser (incognito works too). If you tried before, log out to clear old cookies and avoid forwarding the link—security scanners can burn a one-time token.
What happens when we add another cottage?+
Add a new property to your organization (or create a new org) and the dashboard updates instantly with fresh counts, expenses, blackouts, and documents for that place.
